Never stopping motion

To stop and notice
How pretty words are
Like the petals of a locus
None of us seem
To stop and wonder
How powerful words are
Like the howl of get thunder
None of us seem
To stop and admire
How words can express
Your deepest heart’s desire
None of us seem
To stop and explain
Why we take advantage of
Words with cruel distain
And yet there is a few
The slightest amount
Of us who know what
Words are really about

Come into my arms
I will hold you close and
Keep you safe from harm
Lay down your troubles
They can’t touch you here
Where love is ever flowing
Danger is never near
But when you must go
Take with you this prayer
Sing it softly and
Float it though the air
When I hear the echo
Slowly dying down
I’ll know where you are
And how you can be found
So listen carefully and
Keep it in your heart
Here is my prayer for you
And this is how it starts
“Forget the hard times
They mean nothing to you now
I will bet there soon
Forget why or when or how
Never mind the struggles
They won’t last for long

I can never be
Because she is

Her eyes are
More cruel
And they make
The men drool
Her long hair
Is more lush
Her smile makes
Us all blush
She is taller
Than most
She never
Had to coax
That’s the girl
I’ll never be
She is always
Better than me
She aces
Every class
She’s up to
Every task
She lands
All the leads
She continuously
Succeeds
Every silly word
She mutters
Makes the
Bravest stutter
She is the girl
I’ll never need to be
Because my best
Will always be me
I might not get
Asked to every dance
Yet I know that
There is the
